Case study:
Bringing structure to a high-impact next chapter
Market Visibility Workshop
Jocelyn bought structure and provided clarity enabling me to communicate what I can offer and where I can contribute. Which ensures that I’m connecting with the right people.
Her approach is practical, strategic and efficient. She asked the right questions and helped me to bring everything together. For anyone wanting to position themselves clearly in market, Jocelyn gets it done.
Tony Doherty, Board Chair and Director – Mentor – Strategic Advisor – GAICD
Challenge
After more than 30 years as a senior leader with JLL, Tony Doherty stepped away from executive life with a clear focus, to contribute where it matters most.
He continues to pursue board roles, backed by his GAICD accreditation and recent Chair appointment, while staying active in mentoring and strategic advisory work.
Tony has strong relationships and a well-earned reputation. What he needed was a simple, structured way to communicate what he was now focused on.
Approach
We began with a Market Visibility Workshop to define and document his personal brand:
- Who Tony is post-JLL
- What voice and tone reflect how he naturally speaks
- Who he wants to work with and what kind of work he finds most rewarding
From there, we worked on his positioning across three key areas:
- Advisory boards
- Mentoring and coaching
- Strategic advisory
LinkedIn was the primary focus. We reviewed his profile, then developed a practical approach that reflected Tony’s natural style.
Tony is active in his network, generous with his connections and known for his supportive, enthusiastic style.
We also created a detailed CV with shorter tailored versions for specific opportunities.
This was about giving structure to what was already clear, and making sure the message was consistent, relevant and ready for the right conversations.
Impact
Tony’s updated presence gave his network a clear signal and the response followed. Conversations and opportunities began to reflect his 2025 focus and how he wants to contribute to the corporate sector.
The messaging was part of it. Just as important was the process: having a trusted partner alongside to test thinking, ask the right questions and make sure everything aligned. It was strategic, efficient and outcome-focused, just how Tony likes to work.
